Event Description

Union is the only remedy for separation
Those who do not attain Union cannot be at peace. (Mehmed Muhyiddin Üftāde) (from the Nightingale in the Garden of Love, Poems of Üftāde, tr P. Ballanfat & A. Culme-Seymour)

“It is indeed a pleasure for us of Beshara to talk of Union. This is our daily bread and meat since our constant and only aim is to reach that point in the Unity of Existence which we call Union. Consequently, we greet with joy everyone who is sincerely concerned with Union and who wants to promote or establish in this world that Union which is the sole purpose, and the only reason for man on earth.”  (Bülent Rauf, Address on Union).

We shall investigate the theme of Union as exemplified in the writings of Muhyiddin Ibn Arabi, Üftāde, Bulent Rauf and others.

This is an interactive seminar facilitated by students of Beshara.
