This book presents letters to students corresponding with Bülent Rauf (1911–1987), who was Consultant to the Beshara School of Intensive Esoteric Education. Bulent’s letters were always insightful and his responses to a myriad of questions from all over the world were always available to those “sitting on the carpet of adab”.

These letters have been drawn together in celebration of 50 years of the Beshara Trust. Bülent was also co-founder and first president of the Muhyiddin Ibn ‛Arabi Society [/]. His main literary work was the rendering into English of Ibn ‛Arabi’s Fusus al-Hikām with its Ottoman commentary.
